I was so excited for the launch of New Super Mario Bros. Wii that I just had to do up a little fan service :) I know the composition looks a little slapped together; because that's precisely what it is. I didn't have enough time for a proper full comp., so I actually just layered the characters over top of an older Mario-esque background I created months earlier for a personal wallpaper. It's a little cheap, sure, but it's still pretty cute I think. Originally I tried to do some fancy designer-y accents but it looked even dorkier, ha :D If I have the time/inspiration, I might go back and add more enemies and flesh out the whole piece a little more.
